boneUp - for bone health
boneUp

Overview

As people get older, the loss of Calcium and other minerals from the bone creates tiny holes that make the bones weak and porous, and susceptible to fractures. There are no signs or symptoms until a fracture occurs. This can happen to any bone - the hip, spine, ribs, pelvis or upper arm.

The action of Calcium extends further than just bone mineral formation. Calcium is also involved in muscle contraction, nerve conduction, hormone release, heart function, premenstrual syndrome and weight loss. Many illnesses and their treatments predispose an individual to Calcium loss. These include hyperactive thyroid, anorexia, diabetes, adrenal exhaustion, steroid therapy, poor digestion and/or poor absorption.

Research shows that one in two women, and one in three men over 60 in Australia, will have a fracture due to osteoporosis. Based on this statistic, it is highly recommended to start taking a Calcium supplement while young, as a preventative.
BoneUp is a potent and highly absorbable Calcium supplement. It is the same form of Calcium that is found within the human body, therefore an identical match for rapid build-up in bone density.

Purpose

  • Provides an excellent source of Calcium and other minerals needed for bone health.
  • Increases peak bone mass and bone mineral density.
  • Helps support connective tissue and maintain healthy cartilage and joint function.
  • May assist in the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis.

Key Features & Benefits

  • BoneUp provides a large dose of Calcium in the form of microcrystalline hydroxyapatite (MCHA). Sourced from Australian bovine bone, MCHA is better utilized by the body compared to other supplements.
  • BoneUp contains a full range of minerals and vitamins needed for bone health such as Magnesium, Zinc, Manganese, Copper, Vitamin C, Vitamin D3, Vitamin K, Folic Acid, Boron and Glucosamine which are all included in the formulation.
  • BoneUp contains Vitamin D and Vitamin K which aid the absorption of Calcium, making it more available to the body.
  • BoneUp has a balanced Calcium to Magnesium ratio. Human nutrition requires twice the Calcium as Magnesium (2:1). Taking more Magnesium than Calcium can actually suppress Calcium levels and increase bone loss by decreasing the production of the thyroid hormone, Calcitonin. Magnesium must not be excessive or it acts as an undesirable Calcium blocker.
  • Clinical studies prove superior activity. The hydroxyapatite in BoneUp is embedded in a protein matrix containing collagen and amino acids. Clinical studies have shown that the amino acids in the bone matrix is the reason for the superior activity of the product.
